Beard Oil

BeardLove – Our review of their beard oils.

Here at Majorbeard, we love to test products from new companies, these small companies come up with some amazing products and scents, scents that you may not find from the bigger commercial companies.

It’s our pleasure to be reviewing two beard oils from, beard love is a new company that arrived in 2021, when we first received their beard oils they were only offered a few different varieties, but it wasn’t long before they expanded their scent range.

Our Thoughts

So what did we love about these beard oils? Firstly that they aren’t tested on animals… well, they claim they’re not, but it’s not entirely true, I tested them and my other half constantly calls me an animal!

On a more serious note, we really do love the fact that these beard oils are all natural and aren’t tested on animals.

The ingredients used are top quality which you can tell from the instant you apply the beard oil to your beard, the oils used such as Vitamin E, Jojoba, and Argan oil all work towards making your beard soft and healthy and your skin underneath, any good beard oil should contain those oils in our opinion and that’s exactly what you’ll find in the oils offered by Beard Love.

The Scents

We were provided with two different beard oils to try out, Bourbon Barrel and Deep Wood, both beard oils contain the same carrier oils, which are: Virgin Argan Oil, Pure Jojoba Oil, Vitamin E Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Apricot Kernel Oil, Avocado Oil, Pumpkin Seed Oil, Hemp-seed Oil, Grape-seed Oil.

Thoughts on Bourbon Barrel

This beard oil smells strongly of vanilla which makes sense, and that’s one of the key scents of bourbon.

I felt that perhaps it was a little overloaded with vanilla, but having never smelt bourbon It could be entirely spot on, I do know that as a whisky drinker the expended bourbon casks are used in whisky production, and it’s those casks that add the vanilla flavors.

If you are a fan of vanilla, then this really is the beard oil for you.

Thoughts on Deep Wood

I was expecting something different from this scent, a musky type of scent perhaps, something that reminds you of woods. That wasn’t the case, I can’t really describe to you what this scent smells of other than sweet.

The week that I tested this beard oil was rough, the sweet scent of the beard oil had me craving every bad sweet food you can think of, and at the time I was “Shedding for the wedding” and wow did this beard oil make that tough!

It smells fantastic though, my other half really enjoyed this scent, as soon as I had applied the beard oil, I sat down on the edge of the bed a few feet from her and her immediate reaction was “You smell amazing”.

It really goes to show how great the scent is.

How does Beard Love stack up against other brands

Incredibly well, I don’t think it will be long before you see this brand being recommended in everyone’s top 10 list, their beard oils are great and they are constantly developing new scents.

We were quite surprised by the scents, I personally can’t say the names matched up with the scents when we received them, but it’s clear that’s scents are under constant development and improvement. The real question is, would we recommend them? And would we use them ourselves?

The answer to both of those questions is yes, yes we would buy them, and we do recommend them, if you are looking for your next beard oil then you must give Beard Love’s beard oils a go, your beard will thank you.
